Sometimes, I feel like I've played a million gigs! With Larry Coryell doing Jazz or as a former member of Spiral Starecase, The Platters, Tiny Tim, Bertie Higgins, The Coasters, The Drifters and more doing classic pop material and revival shows, weddings, smoky bars, you name it, I've done it. These days I mostly play pop music as a solo guy with full tracks (as I do in Lake George) or fingerstyle solo guitar concerts, at nice restaurants and wedding ceremonies. As the 2018 reference letter (from the GM Mr. Bill Wilson at the Lake George Steamboat Company) above stipulates, I enjoy mingling with audiences and getting to know people and entertaining them; it's not all just about the music. This past year, I was reminded by a returning customer that their grandson had dropped warm liquid cheese from his Nachos on his brand-new sneakers and I made up a song on the spot for him that he still talks about! I didn't even remember doing it, but what a thrill when parents or grandparents tell me that their child's memories include me! Priceless!

The music I play is generally from the 50's to the 80's, but I only do classic stuff that anybody should know and I love it when I can get people singing along with me! I do a variety of styles from Beatles to Tom Petty to country, reggae, calypso, classic rock, etc. I am a crazy-good guitar player who can play Jazz or shred, country pickin' and smooth guitar solos with or without tracks. I sing about 90% of the tunes.

"Fingerstyle Guitar" means I play classic songs with the bass, melody and chords all present at the same time, just as a classical guitarist would, except I use my old Les Paul, which has a gorgeous round tone, very pleasing to the ears and you should check out my video of "The Star Spangled Banner" or "Here, There and Everywhere" on my videos page for examples. Solo guitar concerts are generally 2 sets, about 50 minutes each with a small break in between. I charge reasonable rates and all details need discussing to determine cost. 

My shows consist of songs most everybody would know like The Beatles, "Titanic", "Smile" by Charlie Chaplin, etc., but don't let those titles fool you, I rip, shred and show off my abilities!

Whoopee, I can still grow hair after thousands of weddings and gigs since 1965, (the year of my first paid performance at age 12!) and I have never stopped being a full time musician.

I just finished my sixth successful season for the Lake George Steamboat Company in September 2019, which is located in beautiful Lake George NY. I played on all three boats as well as the Deuce Moose (outside bar/restaurant venue) from June 15 to September 15 each year. This last season was just as much fun as before and better because I received an unsolicited raise in pay per gig ... it's good to be loved.
