A brand new re-recording of a song I wrote in 1983 on the way to a gig in deepest darkest Kendall, a suburb of SW Miami. The moon was absolutely full, I had a 45 minute drive and we played from 10pm to 4:30 am! 5 nights a week! INSANITY. But there he was, hanging in the sky and all the "cliches" about full moons came to me ... listen to it and you'll hear. On this new version, I took 11 days to record and edit it and it shows ...
I used my new Danelectro 12 string to great effect, which is NOT to say that my 48 year old Les Paul got left out - NO WAY. I actually think this may be the best recording I have ever made, with a new snare drum sample I found ... it came out great! Out now.

MY TASCAM DP 24 RECORDER

- Yeah, just for fun, I thought that I would upload a pic of what I record with. The track tape (artist's acid-free) along the bottom of the faders shows what was recorded - either mono, mono-paired or stereo tracks of guitars, basses and some percussion, special effects - you name it! In this case:
- Tracks 1 and 2 ("Int Gtr") are a mono-paired, "stereo-ized" (originally mono, but altered to stereo so I could downshift the pitch of the original track by -0.6 to create "stereo") intro guitar that is the Mellotron Flute intro played by McCartney.
- Track 3: mono, main bass gtr
- Tracks 4: mono, 2nd bass gtr, low E tuned to D flat
- Tracks 5 and 6: "Backwards Shit" a stereo pair of effects like the backwards hi hat and an A9 chord fade
- Tracks 7 and 8: Stereo chorused Main fingerstyle guitar
- Tracks 9 and 10: harmonies to main guitar fingerstyle
- Tracks 11 and 12: Yes, "Fixes". Fingerstyle for 4 minutes is very difficult to capture in one take (which I have to do live, so I insist on perfection in a forever medium like recording) and little things go wrong that are necessarily fixable!
- Tracks 13-22: Added spice to the main guitar fingerstlye. This is where the term "GuitArchestra" applies.
- Tracks 22 and 23: stereo click of 88 Beats Per Minute. NEVER record without a click track - so helpful for editing, adding drummers or percussion in the future, etc.
